Business Intelligence without database systems, that’s like a bar without beer.
As a Junior BI Consultant I need to know a bit of every tool, so I’m not gonna write down all these tools down here.
But I’ll summarize the ones i know the best and use the most.
In university-college I learned to programe in two different environments.
But because of not using it alot, not all of them are as good as they were.
Since high school I have been playing arround with HTML, Flash, Photoshop,…
It has always intrigued me how websites have been build. So after playing arround
I can say that i have learned alot, and my skills have been growing
Learning a language is not one of my best skills, but as a Belgian citizen, we have to know few some languages.
Here is a summary:
I started working for Computer Solutions immediately after graduating as
a Bachelor in Applied Computer Science. My main task is consulting companies
by developing BI tools with existing BI software (Microsoft, Cognos, OpenSource Tools, …)
After a 6-months during training, I received my first project. Until now I’m still working on that project.
Hospital Intelligence is a Business Intelligence package for Hospitals. It exists out of a couple of modules:

For my last project to graduate as a Bachelor in Applied Computer Science
we had to work as an intern for a company or organisation.
When I saw there was an opportunity to do my internship in Kenya,
I immediately applied for it. And they gave me the job after some interviews.
The organisation was called VVOB and I had to create a webportal for
the Ministry Of Education (www.education.go.ke).
My main tasks were
Afterwards I also had to train some people so they could further develop the portal. Doing this internship was one of the best things in my life!

When there is some freetime during the week, I love to cook and try out new things.
During the weekend I love to do some sport like running or cycling.
But what I love the most is traveling and I don’t mind if its adventurous and if it doesn’t go as planned.
